Captain Jack Mister was born and raised in Southern Maryland. He grew up spin fishing with local legends Captains Cornette and Bartgis for Striped Bass and just about every other fish found in the Chesapeake Bay, Potomac River and their tributaries. His love for fishing expanded to the fly rod and Rainbow Trout as he moved west to the mountains of Colorado. From there, he made his way north to the Kenai Peninsula where his dedication, knowledge, patience and easy-going attitude all added up to becoming a premier guide on the world famous Kenai River. He fell in love with the area, and is now a year-round Alaskan resident. Jack loves what he does, and can’t wait to share it with you.

Captain Jack is one of Trout Unlimited Alaska’s Kenai Guide Ambassadors. He helps promote ethical angling, proper fish handling, and minimizing angler impact on the Kenai River.
